We are, all of us who breathe on planet earth, racist. What matters is are you contributing to the problem, ignoring the problem, or working to fix the problem.

Fear and patriarcal white colonialism created the problem, and it permeates thruout modern society as a result. Unless you are actively working to abolish racism, even the hidden, subtle, decptive forms it takes on in society, we will never see humanity at its best and will always risk seeing it at its worst.

for all you nerds and enthusiasts...

I just finished extensively documenting the Palestine Lodge, Masonic Lodge no. 141 on OpenStreetMap with details from the Portland, Oregon Historic Resource Inventory, the , and my own on the ground recon. I've gathered enuff data and resources that I will probably end up editing later with more information.

I had peviously published updates here, but they were all to do with the occupant of the building, Worksource Oregon.

I'm calling B.S. on this!

https://www.opb.org/article/2026/02/10/more-businesses-demand-pause-on-oregons-new-recycling-fees-following-court-decision/

If you're a big producer, you know what you spend on packaging, and you know the estimate of how much of it goes into Oregon - you can budget recovery costs of the packaging THAT YOU ARE PRODUCING into the mix. Also...

  • Profitability is not promised to all businesses.
  • Profits are not a requirement of a healthy business.(Operating, development, and employee costs should be built into your budget - esp. if you're making 5+mil$ a year)
  • If producing and recovering packaging genuinely puts you in the red...
    • Find ways to reduce and reuse before recycling
    • Setup your own self administered recovery program(Coke collects bottles and cans at their own vending machines in Japan)
    • Adapt your business model
    • If none of the above work, maybe your business idea wasn't as good as you thot and relied far too much on you offloading damages to others without accountability and you need to close up shop.
  • Lastly, Coke didn't leave Japan and they're still making profits while being partially responsible for the circular elements of the Japanese economy.

Hollywood MultCo Public Library is looking good. It is still closed for the reno, but I cannae imagine they'll keep it shut up much longer.

- The NE Albina location of MultCo Public Library has had it's exterior extensively mapped... wheelchair access, bike parking, benches, stairs, EV parking, handicap parking, building entrances, and more.
- Izakaya Kichinto has now had wheelchair access info, toilets, takeout, and other characteristics updated.
- I've been making a lot of headway in fixing some bad OSM data that has allowed some mapping apps to route traffic where they shouldn't. I'll announce it when it is complete.
- Updated Paddy's Irish Pub with the information I collected during my last pass a week ago.
- Also, updated the NE Russell & MLK Jr. intersection to reflect the small segment of bikelane for those heading east on Russell

  • Izakaya Kichinto now has a bilingual name to match the signs. English users will now see the full name "Izakaya Kichinto" and Japanese language users will now see 「居酒屋きちんと」on OpenStreetMap based applications.
  • The ATM inside the Target at 9800 SE Washington St. has now been added as an amenity.
  • The bicycle parking behind the Jackson Conbini on NE Broadway & Grand Ave hasalso been added

Flag over the state building just got winched up and all I can think is "Shouldn't it be at half-mast... or upside down?".

Flag of the "United States of America" after being winched up over a state building in Portland, Oregon. Two people standing inside the glassless dome are still present after raising it from whatever state it was previously in.

The day is misty and cloudy.

Day's been shit. Scored 5 pints of peaches, tho

If you have the money, you should drive/fly to D.C. and have stand/sit in. Surely, on the 47th day of the second year of tRump regime, there are enuff people to fill the entire city of D.C. with human flesh and completely deatroy the entire metro's ability to function.

Imagine, hundreds of Americans from all over the country filling every square mile of space that isn't a building. , and, if you want to, bring a sign to condemn the regime, completely blocking the street, and tell this administation that they cannot go forward.
